School and Home Observations and Interventions
School and Home Based Observations and Interventions are sometimes necessary and powerful in helping the child, adult, seniors, and family members.
A Specialized Support Service
School and home observations are often critical to the evaluation process, as they provide valuable clinical data in the child and family’s natural setting.
We offer anonymous, non-interactive observations at school and at home, so that we can gather information in the most non-intrusive, confidential way for the child and teen.
Anonymous, non-interactive observations also allow us to observe the child and teen without bias and awareness, to gather the most accurate information. Such observations provide invaluable information to better identify environmental stressors and to better guide the treatment plan and possible school and home interventions.
Flexible Options for All Situations
Some clients are unable to come to the office for therapy for a variety of reasons. Children may be too uncomfortable, resistant, disruptive, or anxious, or clients and seniors may have significant disabilities and debilitating health issues that prevent them from office visits. In such cases, if necessary, and if deemed beneficial to the client and family, school-based interventions, home-based therapy, palliative care, and parent/family/caregiver guidance can be offered. These are typically 1.5-2 hour visits to obtain maximum effectiveness from each visit.
