Isabel Palmer, M.S. AMFT

Isabel Palmer, M.S., AMFT with a Master’s in Counseling. She specializes in supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families through life’s challenges with a warm, collaborative approach rooted in family systems and attachment theory.

Isabel has worked with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, social skills, behavioral challenges, and family dynamics. She specializes in children, adolescents, college students, and young adults.Her significant experience in mental health with diverse populations has strengthened her ability to provide therapy that is sensitive to each family’s unique background and experiences. She has also collaborated closely with schools to provide therapy in educational settings, working alongside teachers and staff to support students’ emotional and behavioral well-being.

Isabel integrates play and art therapy interventions, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to create a safe space for healing and growth. 

In addition to her clinical training, Isabel has significant experience providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in home, school, and community settings for children with behavioral and developmental needs. Her work within special education focuses on behavioral management and skill-building related to mental health and developmental concerns. She collaborated closely with educators and support teams to implement individualized behavior plans, promote emotional regulation, and support social-emotional development in students with diverse learning profiles.

As a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, she partners with parents to develop practical, strengths-based solutions that foster a healthier family environment.

Isabel offers individual therapy, family therapy, and parent guidance, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of her clients. She also offers in-home and in-school support.

Isabel is currently supervised by Dr. Maker and collaborates closely with Aspiring Families’ team members to provide an interdisciplinary and whole system approach for health and wellness.
